fixture that delivers professional-grade performance in a compact and robust form 
factor. Built upon the same innovative foundation as the STORM 1200x and STORM 
XT52, the STORM 400x features Aputure’s proprietary BLAIR LED chipset—an 
advanced five-diode design that incorporates Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, and Red 
emitters. This cutting-edge chipset enables more efficient spectral blending and 
unparalleled white light accuracy.
With a powerful 400W output and compact profile, the STORM 400x is the ideal tool 
for users seeking versatile, color-accurate lighting solutions that can adapt to a wide 
range of shooting environments. Offering a broad CCT range of 2,500K to 10,000K 
and full ±G green-magenta tint control across the complete ASC MITC range, the 
STORM 400x gives users fine-tuned white point adjustment to precisely match 
ambient and practical sources. This level of control ensures consistent visual 
continuity across every scene and setup.
Thanks to its advanced diode architecture and optical design, the STORM 400x 
achieves an impressive 26,500 lux at 1 meter (5600K) when using its included 35º 
reflector. This output is paired with industry-leading color metrics: CRI and TLCI ≥95, 
CQS ≥96, SSI (Tungsten) 87, SSI (D56) 85, and average TM-30 scores of Rf 95 and Rg
100. This makes it a reliable fixture for color-critical work. With over 87% Rec. 709 color 
gamut coverage and smooth 0.1–100% stepless dimming, the STORM 400x excels in 
both creative expression and technical consistency.
Built for demanding workflows, the STORM 400x is housed in an IP65 weatherresistant body and features Aputure’s ProLock accessory system, offering enhanced 
accessory security and optical alignment when working with heavier or optical 
modifiers. Its intelligent cooling system includes four fan modes: Smart, High, Medium, 
and Silent. This allows users to optimize output based on shooting noise conditions.
Equipped with extensive control capabilities, including Sidus Link® and Sidus Link 
Pro® app compatibility, LumenRadio CRMX, and 16-bit DMX512 in/out, the STORM
